Nesting Formulas and Conditional Formatting
Learn to nest multiple formulas, using AND and OR functions within IF statements. This module includes applying Conditional Formatting to format table rows based on criteria and dates using the TODAY function.

Advanced Pivot Tables
Explore advanced Pivot Table reporting tools, including grouping numeric and date fields, running percentage analyses, and writing field calculations. Learn how to create Pivot Tables from multiple tables.  

Array Formulas and LOOKUP Functions
Discover the advantages of array formulas for formula protection, and use LOOKUP functions like INDEX and MATCH for versatile data retrieval. Participants will also learn to write SUMIFS, AVERAGEIFS, and COUNTIFS for calculations based on multiple criteria.  

What-If Analysis and Macros
Utilise Goal Seek and Scenario Manager for forecasting reports. This module covers macro security, recording, running, and editing macros, as well as managing the Personal Workbook and an introduction to VBA code editing.

Customising the Quick Access Toolbar and Ribbon
Learn to add macro buttons to the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) and customise the Ribbon by adding groups and buttons to enhance your Excel experience.

Text Functions and Data Integration
Gain proficiency in text functions such as CONCATENATE, UPPER, LOWER, and PROPER, along with MID, LEFT, RIGHT, REPT, and FIND. Learn to integrate various Excel features effectively for streamlined workflows and improved data management.

This course works well for teams who use Excel regularly in their day-to-day work and are comfortable with the basics, things like formulas (SUM, AVERAGE, basic IF statements), formatting and simple Pivot Tables.If your team is still getting to grips with Excel basics, our Intermediate course might be a better starting point.

Basic Excel covers the essentials like entering and organising data, simple formulas, formatting, basic charts and tables. It’s about getting comfortable with the interface and everyday tasks.

Advanced Excel takes things further. You’re looking at complex formulas (nested functions, arrays), sophisticated data analysis using Pivot Tables and What-If scenarios, automation with Macros and VBA, plus customising Excel to work the way your team needs it to.
